APPRENTICESHIP AWARD FOR ENDON SERVICES.A FAMILY-run motor business has been voted Apprentice Employer of the Year in Staffordshire for the benefits its apprentice staff get from the training there.
Endon Services, on the A53, was voted the best employer in the category for businesses with less than 50 staff.
On receiving his award trophy, Endon Services owner Reg Aldridge, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for a humble member of the retail motor industry.''
Mr. Aldridge believes the award will reflect well on the whole sector: "It will boost our company and industry segment image massively in the local area.''
The Staffordshire Apprentice Awards 2008 are organised by the Staffordshire Providers Association, a national organisation which supports work-based learning. Among the sponsors of the event are Business Link, Staffordshire University and Capita.
Judges look for employers that can clearly show the benefits they have gained from a commitment to training their workforce through Apprenticeships.
