FINANCE GUIDE NOW ON-LINEHAVE you ever been baffled by all the different finance options offered to you when you’ve decided to buy a new car? The Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) has launched an independent website which helps buyers to understand the different ways to pay.
Buying a car is always a big decision: What make? What model? What colour? New or used? But these are easier to answer than “How will I pay for it?”.
More than half of new cars are bought on forecourt finance. But buying a car from a motor dealership can, for some people, be a daunting experience. The FLA has introduced www.FinancingYourCar.org.uk as an impartial guide for people wanting to learn more about the different types of finance available in dealerships so they are better informed when stepping into a showroom.
The Financing Your Car website features a finance decider – a short checklist of questions about your general circumstances and car buying habits and suggests what form of financing matches these, whether it is personal contract purchase (PCP), hire purchase, a loan or any of the other options. There is also information about consumers’ rights, a finance calculator and signposts to other information important when buying a car.
